Insta Pro for iPhone and iOS
Insta Pro doesn't work on iPhone or iPad. It's an Android app, and it comes as an APK file that iPhones can't open. You'll see plenty of sites saying they have "Insta Pro for iOS". This page explains why you should be careful with them, and what you can do on an iPhone instead.
Why Insta Pro Isn't on iPhone
Android apps and iPhone apps are built in completely different ways. An APK only runs on Android, the same way an iPhone app can't run on an Android phone. Insta Pro also isn't in the App Store. Apple doesn't allow modified versions of other companies' apps, so a store version won't happen.
The Problem With "Insta Pro iOS" Sites
Sites offering InstaPro for iPhone usually ask you to do something risky:
-
Install a configuration profile. This can let someone else control parts of your iPhone's settings and traffic.
-
Trust an unknown developer certificate. These apps often stop opening after a few days, when Apple cancels the certificate.
-
Log in to Instagram through their app. You'd be typing your password into an app from a stranger, which is a quick way to lose your account.
If a site asks for any of this, close it.
What You Can Do on iPhone
Use the Official Instagram Features
Instagram on iPhone already lets you download many public Reels, if the creator allows it. You can also save posts to private collections and hide your activity status in Settings > Messages and story replies.
Use Instagram's Close Friends and Privacy Settings
You can't watch Stories in ghost mode on iPhone, but you can control who sees your Stories and when you appear online.
Use an Android Phone or PC
If you really need Insta Pro's extra tools, use it on an Android phone, or on a PC with an emulator. Our PC guide shows how.
